Spot time stealers that affect workers’ in the BPO industry and across other industries and stop the in time.
Every job has its challenges, some are more common and others are exclusive or only common amongst people working in a particular industry. Whether you are in the BPO industry or whatever other industry you will understand and identify with these productivity killers. Today we share useful tips to combat these.
Email communication is a great way to keep in touch with colleagues and clients and is the most reliable and traceable way to communicate clients’ feedback and requests. The problem with this is how you go about reading your emails. Try shake things up, don’t read emails first thing when you get to the office. Instead create a list of things you would like to achieve on that day and determine timelines. Also allocate times throughout the day when you will sort through emails. Once that is done, you can dive into your emails and continue with your day.
2. Social Media
This is probably most managers’ nightmare. When team members spend too much time on social media it affects the quality of work they produce and steals away from work times. Many managers have resorted to banning social media completely on wok computers; some even allow employees only a certain amount of time per day.
3. Office Socialising
It’s great to build great working relationships with the people around you. However, keep an eye on how much time you spend chatting to others. We don’t mean you should be that strange person who walks into the office and does not talk to anyone, but dives straight not their work, but make sure you don’t overdo it.
